One of my favorites of the Mexican cuisine locally. Has a great atmosphere, good food, also good sized meals for the price. Not to mention awesomely done deserts! You may know this chain from other parts of Washington, and in Florida and Oregon. Two other locations locally: 9738 N Newport Hwy, Spokane, WA - (509) 465-9101 & 14700 E Indiana Ave, Spokane, WA - (509) 228-9661

North Idaho's premier resort, right on lake Couer d'Alene, located in the heart of the city. Known for it's Hollywood celebrity encounters and the overall beauty of the lake(one of the world's most beautiful). You can enjoy the lake area, by boating and or swimming in the summer, or a romantic nighttime walk around the floating boat pier, adds for a great starry night view. Tubbs Hills park is right on the lake, so it has great diving areas. The hotel also offers fire places in the main lounge and a nice bar. Another option for fun is local shopping since your walking distance from the downtown shops area. Also, about a 30 minute drive from Spokane, and other places, such as casinos to explore while visiting the area. Personally a favorite for swimming, a romantic time and place to be during the 4th of July fireworks show.

Fizzies drinks are bit on the expensive side, but has decent finger food, karaoke, pool tables, live bands, and overall seemed like a fun atmosphere. Also brings in a pretty large crowd of people for good socializing.

Vote greatest breakfast(10 years) diners in Spokane, originally an idea from the Seattle area(1931 to 1991), the Downtown boxcar is Northern Pacific Railroad private car for the railroad president at the time. There's an entrance era, a long bar with stools, and to the back booth seating. These diners as in a train boxcar, for authenticity sake, have tight seating, but the atmosphere makes up for it. Two Locations: Frank's Downtown Diner 1516 W. 2nd Ave Spokane, WA 99204 509.747.8798 Hours: 6am - 8pm Sunday - Thursday 6am - 9pm Friday & Saturday & Frank's Newport Hwy Diner 10929 N. Originally a Vegetarian restaurant and Spokane's only, now serving other foods, such as organically grown beef as well. Has a nice atmosphere, quality food, for Vegetarians, Vegans and even healthy food minded people alike. Pretty pricey but expected and as a Vegetarian myself, I suggest ordering more than just salads for a better experience.

Located downtown across from Riverfront park, lies a contemporary brick building. Inside is one of Spokane's famed coffee shops, includes a coffee bar(located in back),pastries & cakes, with coffee and gifts available in the front. Personally one of my favorites for the atmosphere and flavor. As a company Eastern Washington's first specialty coffee roasting and coffee house, from Bay area coffee specialists, since '76.
