2/28/2010All the Indians I work with approve of the food at Kabab Palace and that is saying a lot considering some are, rightfully so, very picky about what should be called Indian food. I thought it was simply amazing, everything was very good. The lunch buffet is a bit pricey so I don't frequent it very often but whenever it is a special occasion I am there. The restaurant is Halal (sort of like a Muslim kosher) and they have a wide menu, including lots of lamb and goat-based entres. During the month of Ramadan, they are offering a 6 pm onwards buffet similar to what they have at lunch for the bargain price of $8.95. This all-you-can-eat spread includes spicy fruit, chicken tikka masala, lamb rala (meatballs in curry sauce), kababs, tandoori chicken pieces, a few vegetable main courses, several lentil and vegetable sides, several preparations of rice, naan bread, and three different desserts. I didn't recognize everything there, but no matter; between the tikka and the lamb meatballs, I was in food heaven. John hasn't eaten much Indian food but tried a number of different things and enjoyed it enough to be willing to try it again. The food was all high-quality and attractive on the buffet.
